CHINA VIDEOS:

Shep Feeds White Tiger (14.8 MB) During our first week in China we visited a local zoo, only to experience the joy of feeding tigers raw meat!

Chinese Cultural Dance (15.0 MB) On a weekend trip we stumbled upon a festival of some kind. This dance was just one of many different cultural dances from Chinese minority groups.

Around the Table with a Chinese Family (28.7 MB) We stayed with this family for the weekend and really got a glimpse into their lives. You will get a glimpse of our interaction with them by watching this video.

David Bleeding a Poor Chicken to Death (10.0 MB) This is a lovely video. Gulp! The worst part is that the family put the chicken blood in one of our vegetable dishes after this was over.

Children Singing at School (7.06 MB) This video was previously aired on shepandpaula.blogspot.com, but we thought we’d show it again, in case you missed it. These are precious Chinese children and oh-so-lovable! We wanted to take them all home with us.


BURMA VIDEOS:

Jason Teaching at Seminary (51.1 MB) With last minute notice, Jason steps up to give a short word of exhortation.

Paula at Largest Buddhist Temple in the World (11.7 MB) We could have spent all day here. It was huge! This video shows just the entrance to the temple, but there’s much much more.

Orphans Singing Praise to God (8.24 MB) This was one of the most wonderful and rewarding times in Burma. It will melt your heart with joy to know that these children are not only being given a chance to live and go to school, but also to hear about the Savior.

Other Orphans Singing about His Word (15.6 MB) We visited this orphanage the next day and were amazed by the conditions. The orphans lived in a bamboo hut, and many of the children were sick. One particular girl in the video has AIDS.

Ladies Singing at a Bible College (20.5 MB) Man, these girls can sing! The Burmese really seem to have a love for music, and these sweet sisters know how it’s done.

Farewell Blessing from a Brother (20.5 MB) This is a personal farewell message to us and to the believers in America.


XINJIANG (CHINA) VIDEOS:

Us, at the Bazaar in Kashgar (13.5 MB) This is the second largest open market in the world. The first is in Turkey. We were blown away by all the culture in this city.

Flat Tire, but a Spectacular Mountain View! (17.2 MB) For anyone who hasn’t heard, China has gorgeous mountains. As we traveled to Tashkorgan, we were surrounded by them.

The Old City at Tashkorgan (18.3 MB) This is nothing extraordinary, but it is novel. This fortress is made out of clay and used to be used as protection against their enemies.

David Catches the Runaway Calf (15.9 MB) Shep says David saved the day for a couple of “frantic Tajik children.” He courageously leads the calf by the ear, and brings it safely home. What a hero!


NEPAL VIDEOS:

Hindu Worship (18.5 MB) Shep passed this small gathering of Hindus while he was walking the streets of Kathmandu. Very interesting to see how they worship.

Shep and Paula in Durbar Square (14.7 MB) As we sit wait for our lunch to arrive, we show a great view of the old city in Kathmandu. Great architecture and hey, you get to see us!

Cultural Dance in the Street (8.11 MB) This was so weird. I was out shopping and heard a noise. I looked and a group of people were walking down the street banging drums and clashing cymbals while a man dressed in a strange suit danced in front of them.

Behold the Beauty! And the Sweat. (8.92 MB) Shep introduces the beautiful landscape of Nepal and Paula shows how sweaty she is.

Chaotic Children Playing in the Streets (6.64 MB) We meandered through one town, only to find a bunch of crazy and violent Nepali children playing in the streets. We joined in with them for a bit.

Yak Cheese (5.25 MB) This is a fun little video clip. Way to go, David and Prem! Real funny.

Shep at High Altitude (9.51 MB) Shep acts a bit goofy being in high altitudes, but he shows how beautiful the mountains are from up here.

On the Top of the World (15.9 MB) This was at high camp, the morning we crossed the pass. Oh wow. Oh wow. You will see how beautiful it was, and how chapped our lips were. Paula could barely talk as it was so cold!

Just Before the Pass (9.14 MB) Here’s an even clearer view of the mountains from way up high. We are almost at 18,000 feet, folks!

Shep and David Fighting (9.18 MB) You HAVE to see this video. It’s quite funny. Shep and Dave duke it out with a sword fight at 17,000 feet.

Chimang Believers Singing (8.15 MB) This was one of the days where we met for informal teaching. Before Shep started teaching the believers would sing praise to God.

Church Service in Chimang (12.8 MB) On Saturday (the day of worship) we all met in a small room for church. This will give you a good picture of how believers worship half way around the world, and hopefully, the preciousness of our time there.

Russian Male Soprano in Xinjiang (646 KB) This is just for fun. Shep recorded this from a storefront playing his music. Everywhere we go we hear this guy! You’ll get a kick out of this.

Young Buddhist Monks Chanting in Muktinath (646 KB) The day after we crossed the pass we visited a Buddhist monastery in Muktinath. We got this sound clip as we watched young Buddhist monks pass their chants from one monk to the next, all reading aloud at the same time.
